The Board of School Directors shall be known officially as the Board of School Directors of Reading School District, hereinafter sometimes referred to as the "Board".

Section 2.    Composition

Reading School District is comprised of all lands that lie within the municipal boundaries of Reading City.

Reading School District is organized for the purpose of providing a program of public education to serve the needs of the students of the Commonwealth.

Reading School District is assigned to Berks County Intermediate Unit No. 14.

Section 5.    Classification

Reading School District is classified as a school district of the second class.

Section 6.    Address

The official address of the Board of School Directors of Reading

School District shall be 800 Washington Street, Reading, Pa. 19601.
