008. ORGANIZATION CHART
|

Section 1. Purpose
|
|
|
The legal authority of the Board of School Directors shall be transmitted through the Superintendent along specific lines from person to person as shown by the organizational chart of the district. The lines of authority in this chart represent direction of authority and responsibility.

|
Section 2. Authority
|
|
|
The Board of School Directors is committed to maintain open channels of communication between itself and the total staff of the school district. The basic line of communication will be through the Superintendent and will observe the chain of command and procedures in operation throughout the school district.

Section 3. Delegation Of Responsibility
|
|
|
The Superintendent shall present to the Board of School Directors an organizational structure chart of the school district, upon request.
|
|
|
Any changes or alterations in this chart must be approved by the Board of School Directors.
|
|
|
Section 4. Guidelines
|
|
|
All professional and supportive personnel employed by the Board of School Directors shall be responsible to the Board in accordance with the district's organization chart.
|
|
|
All professional and supportive personnel shall refer matters requiring administrative action to the administrative officer immediately in charge of that area. Administrative personnel shall refer such matters to the next higher level when necessary.
|
|
|
All professional and supportive personnel have the right to appeal any decision made by an administrative officer through the grievance procedures as agreed to through that year's contract.
|
|
|
All personnel shall have the responsibility to keep their immediate supervisor informed of all their work, thus keeping line-staff communications free-flowing.
|
