Key
Communicator
Sharing Information about the Reading
School District
What is the Key Communicator Program?
It
is a network of people who are well-connected to both
the schools and the community. The idea is to promote a
continuing two-way exchange of information between key
communicators and the school district.
Why do we need Key Communicators?
Developing one-on-one relationships is an effective
means of communicating within the community. Key
Communicators will help people know more about the
school district and help the school district know more
about what people think, feel and know.
How does the Key Communicator Network “work”?
Each Key Communicator will routinely be kept informed of
school issues through mail, telephone and e-MAIL.
Throughout the normal course of the day, Key
Communicators will be asked to share the information and
then make the district aware of questions or concerns
from the community.
How often will Key Communicators meet?
Dinner meetings are held twice during the school year
- In the Fall and again during the second semester of
school. In addition, there could be informational
meetings as needed.
