Parents are children’s first and best teachers!

 

Talk with your child at eye level. Talk about:

· What happened during the day;

· Good things that happened to him/her;

· New things you do together;

· What is right and wrong;

· His/her questions.

 

Read to your child every day.

 

Teach your child:

· Basic safety rules;

· How to care for things like toys and clothes.

 

Play with your child, letting him/her choose the activity.

 

· Help your child learn something new. Break tasks down into small steps that your child can do.

· Praise  your child when he/she learns something new.

 

Stay calm when your child is acting up (kicking, screaming, crying).

Allow your child to make simple choices like what color socks to wear.

Behave the way you want your child to behave—he/she is watching you.

Major es maestro de sus hijos!

 

Hable con su niño mirandole a los ojos, acerca de:

 

· lo que paso durante el dia;

· las cosas buenas que le pasaron; 

· las cosas nuevas que ustedes hacen juntos;

· lo que esta bien y mal;

· sus pregunta

 

Leerle a su niño todos los dias.

 

Enseñarle a su niño

· reglas básicas de seguridad;

· como cuidar de sus cosa especiales tales como sus juguetes.

 

Juega con su niño y deje que el escoja la actividad.

 

Ayudar a su niño ha aprender algo nuevo. Divida las tareas en partes mas pequeñas para que el las pueda hacer.

· Anima a su niño cuando el aprende algo nuevo.

 

Manténgase calmado cuando su niño esta descontrolado (gritando, tirando patadas, o llorando).

 

Permitir que su niño tome decisiones simple tales como escojer el color de medias que se va a poner.

 

Comportase de la forma en que usted desea que su niño se comporte – su niño lo esta observando.

 

Siempre dele amor, cariño, y respecto a su niño.
