Stay Alive! by: Robert Kresge, Staff Writer
Imagine playing a game that when you go outside exactly what happened to you in the game is happening to you now. What would you do? That is what the movie Stay Alive is based on. The movie starts out with a guy playing an RPG game and in the game he is pushed through a banister and is hung. It then says game over so he turns it off, goes upstairs and goes to bed. He suddenly awakes and goes downstairs. He sees a shadow that turns into a person so he runs upstairs and a lady appears in front of him and pushes him through the banister and is hung just like that he was left dead as in the game. After his death, Hutch McNeil (Jon Foster) is given a sash containing the game and some other stuff. So like anyone else would do, they went and played the game. They then find themselves in possession of the video game, which is a blood-curdling game, based on the true story of a 17th century noblewomen known as 'The Blood Countess.' However when they notice the pattern as they die in the game they die the same grueling way in real life. They then decide that they have to put the game to a stop. But that's where the fun begins so I am not going to give the movie away. Stay Alive directed by William Brent Bell and rated PG-13 for horror, violence, disturbing images, language, and brief sexual and drug content and runs for 85 minutes. Stay Alive stars Jon Foster, Samire Armstrong, and Frankie Muniz. And remember, Stay Alive!
