Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones by: Zach Mauger, Staff Writer
One of the most anticipated games of the year came out recently and it surpassed all expectations in my mind. Not only is the new storyline incredibly captivating, the game is beautifully pieced together. Transition between environments is smooth and the fighting system has finally fallen into place. The game starts out returning from the island of time with the empress of time. As you return to what you thought would be the shining and prosperous city of Babylon, your ship is attacked and the two of you are separated, and the quest to save the damsel in distress begins. Throughout the game you gain new abilities and attacks, and you even get to transform into the new dark prince. He is present through most of the game as kind of an inner voice. Combined with the prince's original conscious creates an inner conflict to make the story richer. The introduction of speed kills makes the game more interesting. You can choose to fight everyone at once, or sneak around and take him or her out with speed kills to avoid the time consumption of battles with an aware enemy. All together I think the new game is a generous mix of the first and second games. From the characters, to the story line and fighting style, this game will be remembered as a phenomenal end to a spectacular game trilogy.
