Arts
and Crafts I - .5 credit - 6pd/cyl -grades 9-12 Prerequisite: None.
This
course is designed for students with a desire to gain knowledge for
a lifetime hobby or as a foundation program in the fine art of crafts.
Emphasis will be on fundamental skill building theory, basic technique
craftsmanship, and safety with regard to studio habits. This course
increases student awareness of design. Any student who successfully
completes: INTRO TO ART and ARTS & CRAFTS I or INTRO TO SCULPTURE,
may omit ART 1 and move directly to ART II with teacher approval.

I.
Arts
and Crafts II is for students who are interested in continuing to make
things with their hands. Skill Building, craftsmanship, and safety will
be incorporated. You will explore crafts from past and present as you
seek to find ideas to express yourself.
Around
the World with Art - 1 credit - 6pd/cyl -grades 10-12 Prerequisite:
Art or equivalent.
This
course offers the students the opportunity to learn about other cultures
in the world, their heritage, and the production of art as an important
source of expression. Projects include hands on media experiences from
countries such as Africa, Middle East, Asia, Europe, Mexico, United
States, and Canada.
