Intro
to Art- .5 credit - 6pd/cyl sem - Grades 9-12
This
course is designed for students as a foundation program in fine arts.
It will emphasize fundamental skill building, theory, basic technique,
craftsmanship, and safety with regard to studio habits. It will focus
on the elements and principles of design in both 2 dimensional and 3
dimensional art.
Intro
to Sculpture - .5 credit - 6pd/cyl yr - Grades 10-12
This
course is an introductory 3-Dimensional Design class with an emphasis
on fundamental skill building, theory, basic techniques, craftsmanship
and safety regarding proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
It will focus on the elements and principles of 3-Dimensional design.
Studio experiences may include ceramics, plaster, paper mache, wire,
wood and assemblage.
Exploring
Art - .5 credit - 6pd/cyl yr - Grades 11-12
This
is the study of visual and performing arts with emphasis placed on art
history and its influences on society from contemporary and historical.
Videos, Field Trips, Reading, reports and a variety of studio experiences
are required.
