Last Years Events

· On Friday, October 6, 2006, we held a fall pep rally.  All fall sports teams were honored and dance team, cheerleaders, and JROTC performed during the assembly.

· In the end of October we ran a “Coats for Kids” coat drive where we received about 100 coats for kids at the Salvation Army.

· On Wednesday, November 22, 2006, we held a Powder Puff football game.  The seniors and juniors played a flag football game.  The final score of the game was 2 to 1 in favor of the seniors.

· During the week of December 18, 2006, we did a “Penny War” where the grades competed to raise money for the Humane Society.  The sophomores won the penny war and over $250 was raised.

· On Thursday, February 8, 2007, we held a winter pep rally.  All winter sports teams were honored, and the dance team performed along with the cheerleaders.

· On Wednesday, March 28, 2007, Student Council held  Cultural Exchange Day.  Some schools that came to Reading were Central Catholic, Muhlenberg, Wyomissing,  Exeter, and Daniel Boone for a day to experience what life is like here at Reading High.

· On Friday, March 30, 2007, there was a Freshman Basketball Games vs the Faculty.  Each team in the freshman academy played against the teachers.  Each team plays for about four minutes.

· On Wednesday, April 18, 2007, Student Council helped the younger children who participate in the Special Olympics, so that they can work with the community and help other younger students.
