Summer School Information

  • SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION

    REGISTRATION:

    • WHEN:  Monday, June 10, 2024 - Friday, June 14, 2024

    • WHERE:  Reading High School’s Welcome Center (Room 006) 

    • TIME:  9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm 

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    WHEN DOES IT BEGIN:  Monday, June 17th

    NO SCHOOL: Wednesday, June 19th - No teacher in-person support (Juneteenth)

    Tuesday, July 4th- No Teacher in-person support (4th of July Holiday)

    WHEN DOES IT END:  Thursday, August 1st 

    SUMMER SCHOOL SUPPORT: Monday thru Thursday- 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

    LOCATION:  RKAA Glenside Campus, 500 Lackawanna St Reading, PA 19601 or online on gMeet: RHSHELP

    AVAILABLE COURSES:  

    Algebra I, Algebra II, Integrated Math 1, Integrated Math 2, Geometry, Math of Personal Finance, English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12, Ecology, Biology, Earth and Space Science, Environmental Science, Citizenship, World History, American History, Health, & Physical Education and Other Electives 

    • All grades will be PASS or FAIL.  

    • Courses will NOT receive a letter grade or count towards GPA.

    COST:   

    $80.00 per credit, $40 per half credit

    Payment methods: Cash or money order. Money order should be payable to the “Reading School District”. Full payment must be made at the time of registration. Limited opportunities for fee waivers based on specific circumstances.   

    ATTENDANCE POLICY: 

    Students may work on their courses from home. Content teachers will be available for in-person assistance/tutoring and to proctor Edgenuity exams. If students are not completing their course work, a phone call home will be made, and in-person attendance may be required. Further lack of course completion may result in removal from the program, and no refund for summer school fees will be returned
