Poetry Out Loud on Jan. 5
Reading High School will host its Poetry Out Loud Competition on Thursday, January 5 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. All staff members are invited to attend. The RHS finalist will represent our district at the regional competition on January 25.

January School Board Meetings
The Committee of the Whole Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 6 p.m. The Regular Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 7 p.m.  

Annual Frozen Run 5K on Feb. 25

The RHS Cross Country Team will host its annual Frozen Run 5K on Saturday, February 25. The race begins at the RHS. More details to come!

Save the Date: Dude Be Nice Week in RSD in February
In conjunction with Valentine’s Day and Random Acts of Kindness Week, we will celebrate our first-ever RSD Dude. Be Nice Week from Feb. 13-Feb. 16. More details to come!

Fundraiser Information

If you are hosting a fundraiser for your school or club this year, please send Kristin Boyd the information at so we can share and post it on our district social media sites. Please make sure you have submitted the Wellness Reporting Form to the Wellness Coordinator at your school.

United Way Dress Down Day on January 13
Our 2nd United Way Dress Down Day is on Friday, January 13. Staff members who contributed at least $25 to our U-Knighted Campaign are eligible to participate.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 16
The district is closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

2nd Quarter Ends
The end of the 2nd Quarter is January 17.
