Robin Costenbader-Jacobson is the principal of RC-J Consulting Associates, LLC.  She is a Certified Professional Coach, Conflict Resolution Mediator, Keynote Speaker and Educator.

Mrs. Costenbader-Jacobson is a graduate of Reading Senior High School and Albright College with degrees in Psychology and Political Science. In her work as an advocate and mission driven leader for more than 35 years, she encompasses:

    ·         The ability to connect not only people to each other but to connect them to a vision larger then themselves.

    ·         The ability to create; but she has discovered it's not just enough to create, but also to communicate a vision for others to see it and be a part of the idea.

    ·         An orator, writer, editor and a producer of community interactive television programs, able to build strong productive business and community relationships

In the words of Reality Based Leadership Author, Cy Wakeman; we are living and working in dramatic and demanding times, but this is not our biggest problem…the biggest problem is the absence of great leadership that is based in reality. Leaders cannot expect others to add value when they don’t…we over-manage and under-lead – controlling people rather than connecting to them and developing their potential.

Mrs. Costenbader-Jacobson has discovered as a leader that there's one trait that all effective leaders have, it is inspiration to motivate.  We are driven to achieve beyond expectations – our own and everyone else's.

Established in the areas of non-profit management, education, community relations and training, she is  extremely innovative in problem-solving and developing and implementing effective communication strategies. Highly motivated, she demonstrates the ability to organize and inspire others, working effectively as a leader with individuals and teams.  She is dedicated to achieving strategic goals and supporting an organization’s image.

Dedicated to education, as the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Junior Achievement of Berks, Lehigh and Northampton Counties, Mrs. Costenbader- Jacobson lead the organization with over 400 volunteers in providing students with a better understanding of our free-enterprise system while stressing the value of good education for future careers. Junior Achievement is the largest and fastest growing non-profit economic education provider in the world

Under Mrs. Costenbader-Jacobson’s 11 years of leadership, Junior Achievement of Greater Reading and Lehigh Valley flourished. The regional Junior Achievement office increased the number of students receiving a JA Program by 240 percent, providing education to more than 100,000 students.  Recognized nationally in 2002 for outstanding leadership and performance, being awarded the Bronze and Silver Summit Awards for financial solvency, program growth, program impact and program quality. In 2005 she founded and established the Pathway to Careers Symposiums in Greater Reading and Lehigh Valley conducted on college campuses, for high school students, leading them to more informative career choice education. The organization was recognized as a ‘Contributing Community and Educational Resource’ by Wall Street West in 2008-2009 for its work with financial programs.

She is the recipient of the ATHENA Leadership Award for demonstrating excellence, creativity and initiative in her business, actively assisting women in achieving their full leadership potential and for providing valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in our community.   The award is presented to leaders across sectors, its rich history, international scope and focus on mentorship distinguish it as one of the most prestigious leadership awards one can receive.

Mrs. Costenbader-Jacobson firmly believes: “Something good can happen all by itself – but, nothing Great can transpire without change.”

Great things are happening and will continue to happen in the Reading School District accomplished because of a Board of Directors, an Administration, Educators, Employees, Parents  and Our Students who ALL care.

One Vision.  All Students.  One Reading.

    All Partners = One Community!
