RULES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN VIRTUAL BOARD MEETINGS (Due to COVID-19)

    Committee of the Whole Board meetings will begin at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month, and Regular School Board meetings will begin at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Board Meetings can be viewed on the school district's Red Knight TV YouTube channel at www.YouTube.com/RedKnightTV

    To register for the public comment portion of the Wednesday, August 26, 2020 board meeting, complete the sign-up form, in its entirety, no later than 5 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2020.

RULES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN BOARD MEETINGS

    • Members of the public are permitted entry to the Board room at 6:45 PM. Persons desiring to speak must sign up with the Board Secretary prior to 7:00 PM.

    • ONLY CITY OF READING residents, CITY OF READING taxpayers and READING SCHOOL DISTRICT Community Partners are permitted to speak during the public comment section of the Regular Board Meeting. 

    • Each person shall be limited to three (3) minutes per person during the first ½ hour of the Regular Board Meeting. Additional time may be allotted at the end of the meeting. 

    • One (1) delegate from a READING SCHOOL DISTRICT COMMUNITY PARTNER group or organization shall be permitted to speak before the Board for a period of five (5) minutes per group.

    • The sharing and/or reallocation of public comment time is not permitted.

      The rules in their entirety shall be read prior to the start of the public comment section
