The 'Write' Stuff
Kudos to Northwest Middle School student Jasmine Kabia, who won first place in the annual Daughters of the Revolution essay contest. This marks the second time that a Northwest Middle School student has won the essay competition.
We want to show our appreciation to our amazing staff members. Gold star to our RSD Librarians, who are celebrating National Library Month in April, and to our RSD Paraprofessionals, who celebrated Paraprofessionals Day last week.
Kudos to our RHS Key Club members, who created Easter Baskets for families at Safe Berks.
Abilities in Motion recently donated an Enhanced Visions Reader for our low-vision students at Reading High School. The device magnifies reading material with a digital camera and projects the enlarged text on a screen. It also comes with a number of features to change the size, color and display of the reading material. Our district has approximately 20 students with visual impairments, about eight of whom are in the high school.
