Reading School District

One vision. All students. One Reading.

Beginning with the 2013-14 school year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) will no longer use Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) to determine a school’s designation. Instead, in accordance with the ESEA Flexibility Waiver, PDE will use four Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs) to designate the Title I school as:  Reward – High Achievement, Reward – High Progress, Focus, or Priority schools.

Reading School District has 10 schools designated as Focus Schools. Early in 2014 letters explaining this change were sent home to parents of children enrolled in the schools below. Click on a school's name to read the corresponding letter, which is written in English and Spanish.
