Chromebook Update

  • Reading School District will continue to collect chromebooks from graduating RHS seniors and from those families who are relocating or who have disenrolled from the school district.

If your child is in Grade K-11 and your family is not moving, you will be able to keep your district-issued chromebook for the summer months. The chromebooks will not be turned off on June 12, as originally planned, to allow high school students to finish coursework if necessary and to allow K-8 students to participate in the district’s free Virtual Summer Camp, which begins on June 22.

Chromebook collections will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from June 15 through June 29 at Reading High School – South Drive. Please bring both the device and charger with you.

    Please note:
    1. If you are still participating in class lessons, or if you need to complete coursework, please keep your chromebook.

    2. The collections are not for Reading Virtual Academy students. RVA students will receive instructions from the RVA Director.

    3. At this time, additional chromebook distributions are not scheduled during the summer months.
