    Red Knights in Training: 
    At our Kindergarten and 1st Grade Boot Camp, incoming students will get to explore the classroom and learn what to expect when they start school. At the end of the program, our Red Knights in Training will receive a Red Knight in Training T-shirt. 


    The 2-week program is free, and our Red Knights in Training will:

    • Learn what to expect during a typical in-person school day
    • Meet teachers and staff at the school
    • Make new friends who will be in Kindergarten and 1st Grade, too
    • Complete learning activities to get ready for school
    • Most importantly, have fun!

    Monday, Aug. 2 - Friday, Aug. 6
    Monday, Aug. 9 - Friday, Aug. 13

    Activities include: art, yoga, Zumba, hip-hop, charcoal, sculpture, watercolor + more!

    Session 1:
    July 6, 7 and 8; July 13, 14 and 15; and July 20, 21 and 22
    1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    Session 2:
    July 27, 28 and 29; Aug 3, 4 and 5;
    and Aug 10, 11 and 12
    1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    1. Northwest Middle School

      Will include Northeast Middle School and Central Middle School families

    Like creating Youtube videos? Making recipes, prisms, artwork and bridges? Learning about the Olympics, robotics and astronomy?

    Then, join us at Camp Learn-A-Lot -- our free Reading School District Summer Academy, which combines education, entertainment and socialization! 

    • Free Activities
    • 6 weeks of summer fun and learning for students in Grades K-8
    • Free Breakfast and Lunch

    Who: 
    Any Reading School District student in kindergarten through 8th grade 

    When: 
    8:30 a.m. to noon
    Mondays-Thursdays 
    June 21 through July 29

    Each week has a different theme, and you can pick the weeks you want to attend! Weekly themes include:

Science Research Institute at Albright College

Optional Summer Workouts

  • Optional Summer Workouts will begin the week of June 14 for RSD students entering grades 7-12 for the 2021-22 school year.

    Summer Workouts are a great way to meet our coaches, learn more about the sport, make friends and have fun!

    All workouts are weather permitting, and we will continue to provide updates throughout the summer regarding additional athletic opportunities.
