This is a message from the Reading School District.
All scheduled sports practices and games will proceed as planned today, August 29th, 2024. High School athletes should report to practice at their regularly scheduled times. Transportation will be provided for middle school students to return for their sports activities.

Department Overview

Reading High School, home of the Red Knights, has a rich history of athletic success. The district’s administration, staff and community at large are committed to building upon that history and maintaining a high level of integrity among all of our athletic programs.
The Athletic Department’s mission is to support student-athletes, encourage them to strive for continued success and assist them in building a strong sense of pride and self-esteem through participation in competitive athletics. Student-athletes are encouraged to develop responsibility, determination, commitment to their sport, an understanding about the importance of teamwork and an overall respect for themselves and others.
The Athletic Department strongly believes that through participation in competitive sports, our student-athletes develop the necessary skills to become well-rounded and productive members of our community, as well as a globally competitive workforce.
