The Reading School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacant Community Member position on the Reading Recreation Commission Board. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Reading, PA. Taking flight
Congratulations to our RHS students who competed in the annual Computer Fair at BCIU last week. The team, comprised of Chelsy Barraza, Lorena Vazquez, Jonathan Munoz and Melissa Jill Martin, won 1st place in the Animation category for their “The Drone” project. They will compete at the state Computer Fair on May 22 at Dickinson College. You can watch their project here: https://bit.ly/2JFw7jA
Make some noise
The Champs are here! The RHS Percussion Team earned first place in their division in their division and the RHS Color Guard earned second place at Saturday’s TIA Regional Championships. Also, kudos to the Red Knight Music Association for hosting the event.

Free Vaccine Clinics for Children
Currently enrolled RSD students, ages 4 to 18, who have no insurance or medical assistance can receive their necessary vaccines during our free Vaccine Clinics in May. An interpreter will be available at each clinic. Students must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian and should bring their most recent shot records. The clinics will be held from 4-6 p.m. at Reading Intermediate High School on May 1, May 2, May 3, May 8, May 9 and May 10.

Vintage Yearbooks
The RHS Library has a collection of vintage yearbooks available from: 1976, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1990 and 1991. The yearbooks are free for anyone interested, however, they cannot be shipped. You must be pick them up at Reading High School before June 1. Interested?
