The Reading School District is committed to providing transparent access to records as part of our service to the community. There are several types of records requests available to help meet the diverse needs of students, parents, alumni, and community members. Below are descriptions of the types of records requests we accommodate, along with contact information for each request type.

Individual Records Requests
Individual records requests refer to any personal records or documents specific to a single individual, such as employment records for current or former district employees, personal disciplinary records, or attendance records for students. These requests are subject to privacy regulations, and only authorized individuals may access them.
How to Request:
For individual records, please contact the Human Resources Department for employment-related records, or the Student Records Office for student-specific records. Requests should specify the individual’s full name, relevant dates, and the type of document required.Contacts:

Student Transcripts
Student transcripts are official records of academic performance and are essential for students transferring schools, applying to colleges, or seeking employment. Transcripts detail course completion, grades, GPA, and graduation status. Alumni and current students may request transcripts for personal use or send them directly to institutions.
How to Request:
To obtain your official Reading High School transcript, complete the Transcript Request Form.
Night school graduates should also complete this form.Please note, Reading School District does not have access to GED records.

Right to Know Requests
If you are looking for records containing information that documents a transaction or activity of the Reading School District that are created, received, or retained by the District under law or in connection with its operations, please visit: Right-to-Know Information or email righttoknow@readingsd.org. Such requests are governed by state and federal law, as well as District policy. Exemptions from public access to these records may apply. Records that are protected from disclosure include, but are not limited to, documents containing information about child safety/welfare, infrastructure, medical information, student records that contain personally-identifiable information, internal/predecisional memoranda, and investigative reports.
