Wanda Gonzalez-Crespo has been serving as Interim Assistant Superintendent since last fall. This year, she will become Assistant Superintendent for School Improvement.

She sees the promise and potential of every child in our community and of every educator in our district. Her positive leadership style inspires others, and she will be instrumental in developing new strategies and teams to meet the demands of an ever-changing world.”
In her new role, Mrs. Gonzalez-Crespo will oversee all aspects of federally-required aspects of public education, including Title I, as well as elements of the curriculum, instructional programming, and professional development.
“I look forward to engaging with teams to learn how we can significantly improve the quality of the instructional programming that RSD offers. I’m confident that we can positively impact our overall student achievement,” she said. “It’s important to me. As somebody born and raised in the City of Reading, I know the district has the power to significantly influence the community in a positive way.”
