Things Reading High School Families need to know:

Keystone Exams

This is a reminder that Reading High School will be administering the Keystone Biology exam on Monday, May 22 & Tuesday, May 23. Families of students taking exams will receive a message.

CTC Student Schedule for Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23

Non-testing PMCTC students will attend CTC in the morning. Non-testing PMCTC students should arrive to RHS by 7:05 am to get on the CTC buses.

Non-testing AMCTC students will start school at 10:30 am. Students receiving RSD transportation should be at their bus stop 3 hours after their normal scheduled time. Students not receiving RSD transportation should report to RHS by 10:15 am for a 10:30 am start time for their first class. AMCTC students will attend CTC in the afternoon from 11:25 am to 2:40 pm.

Students Who Receive Specialized Transportation on Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23

Students who receive specialized transportation will report on their normal times on testing days to report to RHS for their regular start time of 7:30 a.m. Specialized transportation students who are not testing will report to their normal classroom or the LGI room.

Attention Seniors

Last day for seniors to hand in work is Thursday, May 25.
The deadline for seniors to complete credit recovery coursework is Tuesday, May 30.
Graduating and non-graduating letters will be distributed on Friday, June 2 in senior advisories at 7:30 a.m.

Principal Transition

On May 8, 2023, Reading High School Principal Mr. Waldo Alvarado announced his upcoming retirement. His last day in the building will be June 6. Mr. Alvarado has been an integral part of the Reading School District for 22 years, and we wish him nothing but the best in his retirement.

Effective Wednesday, June 7, 2023, Mrs. DiBlasi will transition to the role of Interim Principal at Reading High School and will continue in that role until further notice.

Atención Estudiantes de Último Año de Secundaria

El último día para que los estudiantes de último año entreguen trabajos pendientes es el 25 de mayo. La fecha límite para completar el trabajo de Edgenuity es el 30 de mayo. Las cartas de graduación y no graduación se distribuirán el 2 de junio durante el tiempo de asesoría a las 7:30 a.m.

Transición de Directora Interina

El 8 de mayo de 2023, el director de la Secundaria Reading, el Sr. Waldo Alvarado, anunció su próxima jubilación. Su último día en la escuela será el 6 de junio. El Sr. Alvarado ha sido una parte integral del Distrito Escolar de Reading durante 22 años y le deseamos lo mejor en su jubilación.

A partir del miércoles 7 de junio de 2023, la Sra. DiBlasi hará la transición al rol de directora interina en la Secundaria Reading y continuará en ese rol hasta nuevo aviso.
