Now Hiring: 21st Century Community Learning Center Program Open Positions

Reading School District is assisting the CCIU/ 21st Century Community Learning Program to advertise available part-time positions that will be available in RSD Buildings after school. 21st Century Community Learning Center Program Open Positions

The Chester County Intermediate Unit is recruiting for positions to support students in the Reading Area School District through the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program.
 
The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) 21st CCLC proposes to serve 250 at-risk children and English Language Learners in kindergarten through fourth grade who attend 10th & Penn and Riverside Elementary schools, both eligible for school-wide programs under Title I, section 1114, in the Reading Area School District (RASD). Supplemental education provided by the 21st CCLC will ensure currently unserved children in poverty have equitable access to instructional supports. The program offers English language, reading and math skill development to our students as they work on acquiring grade-level PA Core standards in Language Arts, math, and science. The positions would work 2.5 hours per day immediately after school for 4 days per week.

 
Part-Time Opportunities
 
Student Support Specialist
 
This position plans and implements after-school supplemental educational programs for students. Communicates regularly with participating students' parents, teachers, guidance counselors and administrators, as necessary. Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed. Plans and implements parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program. Communicates regularly with community agencies and social services that serve our participating families to keep them informed of the 21st CCLC program activities and to identify what services are offered. Educate and refer participating families to community agencies, social services and schools to expand the supports offered to them.
 
Salary range is $27.73 - $34.66 per hour based on experience.

Instructional Assistant
 
This position assists with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs. Assists with regular communication with participating students' parents, teachers, guidance counselors and administrators, as necessary. Assists with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed. Assists with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program.
 
Salary range is $16.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience.
