What makes you #RSD Proud?

Seeing my former students grow up into successful young adults. My first kindergarten class graduates this year!

Teacher who inspired me:
Mrs. Smith, my 3rd grade teacher at Sacred Heart School in Bethlehem. That was the year I decided I wanted to be a teacher. At the end of the year, she gave me some old teaching supplies and books and I would ALWAYS play school.

You might not know this about me:
I am a HUGE Backstreet Boys fan. I’ve seen them in concert more times than I can count. My 3-year-old daughter now sings their songs all the time.

What did you name your first car?
My first car was a bright red 1995 Chevy Cavalier. It was named the Cavalier Commander. My next car was a red VW Beetle named Spike.

Which skill would you love to learn?
I would love to be able to speak Spanish. I have my ESL cert and am currently having an amazing year co-teaching with our ESL resource teacher who is fluent in Spanish. I am picking up a little more every day!

What was your first job?
I started working at Giant when I was 16. I started as a cashier and was a front-end manager by the time I was in college.

Keep shining, Cassie! 😎
