🙂🐻📚 We are pleased to share the wonderful smiles of the 1st graders participating in the 10th and Penn Read Alliance program in collaboration with United Way. Each student received a teddy bear donation from Godiva, providing both the RHS teen reading tutors and 1st grade students with a cuddly companion for their reading activities.
Reading Virtual Academy is currently accepting applications for students who want to enroll in the virtual learning program. RVA offers full day virtual learning for students in grades 1-8 with live instruction during the day. Please complete the application if you are interested in joining our program! On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the Reading School District held a New Staff Brunch at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel to welcome and show appreciation for all employees hired since May 2024. Attendees enjoyed a beautiful spread of breakfast foods and had the opportunity to connect with fellow new staff members from various buildings across the district. The event, organized by the RSD Human Resources Department, highlighted the importance of recognizing and valuing each team member’s contributions. Such gatherings underscore the district's commitment to building a supportive, inclusive community where all staff feel appreciated from day one. #RSDproud
Our amazing NEMS alumnus, Mr. Stewart Lerch, educated our 6th-grade students about the history of Veterans Day and how we can honor our veterans.
