The Northeast Middle School Parent Network Committee took a "field trip" to Barnes & Noble this week to celebrate and promote literacy! While students toured the bookstore and made book selections, parents met over a beverage in the cafe to discuss committee goals and plan future events. A special "shout out" to Mrs. Loida Ayala who helped run the event. The adults loved the opportunity to socialize, and the kids were thrilled to purchase books.

¡El Comité de la Red de Padres de la Escuela Secundaria Northeast realizó una «excursión» a Barnes & Noble la esta semana para celebrar y promover la alfabetización! Mientras los estudiantes recorrían la librería y elegían libros, los padres se reunieron en la cafe para tomar algo y discutir los objetivos del comité y planificar futuros eventos. Un agradecimiento especial a la Sra. Loida Ayala, que ayudó a organizar el evento. A los adultos les encantó la oportunidad de socializar y los niños estaban encantados de comprar libros.
